Kyle spent most of his younger days at Spirit Lake, IA. Living near Lake Okoboji, he was given many opportunities to watch residential projects develop along the lakeshore which sparked his curiosity in construction and design.
He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2019 and a Master of Architecture in 2021 from South Dakota State University. While attending school, he gained a particular interest in site design and the relationship between buildings and the natural environment. Therefore, many of his school projects investigated sustainability and the retrofit of existing buildings.
Kyle enjoys using new computer programs in the design process and finding alternative, more efficient, workflows. He enjoys making things by hand and has experience in architectural model making and landscape design and construction.
In his spare time, you will find him constructing or refurbishing furniture. Or he will be out for a run or hike in one of the local parks.
