Michael grew up on his family farm outside of Le Mars, Iowa. His interest in architecture began in high school where he framed houses for a residential construction company and took his first Building Information Modeling courses. He attended South Dakota State University, and in 2019 he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts with a minor in Construction Management. In 2021 he graduated with a Master’s Degree in Architecture. His interest in architecture lies on the technical side, as he enjoys understanding how construction projects and details are assembled. He also enjoys using up and coming technology to improve project delivery efficiency and project performance.
In his free time, he enjoys staying active in body and mind by going for a run or working outside, watching documentaries, or listening to records. He enjoys working with his hands by doing anything from refurbishing furniture to building dining room tables.
