CITY OF SIOUX FALLS PUBLIC WORKS STREET/FLEET
This project includes the renovation and addition of the current Sioux Falls Streets Administration Building. The single-story administration building will be retrofitted to included nine private offices, a large and a small conference room, restrooms, open workstations, break rooms, and two training rooms that can be used as another large break room via an operable partition wall. The expansion of this building is to house the growth of city employees, and to help train those who are working within this department. This building is connected to the North and West by the Streets Department Garages.
The interior is being fully upgraded with new flooring, tile, paint and cabinetry. The existing exterior walls are constructed of masonry over CMU. These walls are being retrofitted into interior office walls. To keep the exterior aesthetics of the former building the new walls will be constructed of the same construction type, with steel stud walls. The exterior masonry patterns were chosen to mimic the existing surrounding building. The entrance is picture framed by a large metal paneled structure, and each office window has a prefabricated metal awning.
