HURON CITY BUILDING
This new Public Works Facility provides the City of Huron a new campus for housing large equipment and coordinating/staging city efforts. Two facilities were constructed, the main public works facility and a storage building. Structurally, both utilize pre-engineered metal building systems to emphasize the utilitarian functions of the buildings. The Public Works building consists of an administrative office area, maintenance and shop area, a large garage, and mezzanine storage area. The storage building houses maintenance materials and seasonal materials. The project features radiant heat flooring, expandable wash bays and sloped trench drain floors. Entry to the facilities is controlled at an access point, and the site features a refueling station which is necessary for large machinery, such as snowplows.
