Custer Veterans Memorial Park
The Custer Veterans Memorial Park, located in Way Park along Mount Rushmore Road in Custer, South Dakota, serves as a meaningful tribute to the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. Established through the efforts of local organizations such as American Legion Post 46, the memorial reflects the community’s deep respect for its veterans and their sacrifices.
Featuring commemorative markers, memorial benches, and tributes to individual service members, the park honors veterans from all eras while also recognizing those from the local area who gave their lives in service.
As both a place of remembrance and community pride, the memorial park provides a quiet setting for reflection, ensuring that the legacy of service and sacrifice remains an enduring part of Custer’s heritage.
We are honored to help preserve the stories behind these Veterans Memorials. Some memorials, however, have limited historical information available.
