HINTON AREA VETERANS MEMORIAL
In the valley beside the Floyd River lies the little town of Hinton, IA. Five men of this small town had a dream to build a Veterans Memorial to honor all area men and women who have served the Nation.
This dream became a reality in 2003 with the construction of five, black granite monuments. 347 names of area Veterans are engraved in the pillars with room to add many more. The monument stands in front of Hinton’s community hall.
