ST. PETER AREA MEMORIAL

ST. PETER, MN

|

If you are travelling in south central Minnesota, it’s worth your time to stop at the Saint Peter Area Veterans Memorial, in the town of Saint Peter just 10 miles north of Mankato on Hwy 169. The memorial honors and remembers the sacrifices made by our military men and women who have defended our freedoms.

More than a thousand Veterans’ names with ties to the city are engraved on a Service Wall, Honor Wall and Donor Wall. The beautiful memorial, designed by artist James Shoop, also displays a large, bronze eagle statue. This memorial includes the names of soldiers from the Civil War, up until the war in Afghanistan and all the wars in between. This beautiful tribute was made possible from people who wanted their loved ones honored and engraved on the granite walls.
