Wall South Dakota Cemetery
Each Memorial Day, rows of American flags are placed in the Cemetery, by the Carroll McDonald American Legion Post #246. Carroll A. McDonald was the first casualty of WWI from the Wall area.
The area Veterans names are engraved in the cemetery monument.
A granite slab is engraved with the insignias of each branch of service as well as the names of area Veterans who gave their lives for our country. In Honor of Those Who Served.
We are honored to help preserve the stories behind these Veterans Memorials. Some memorials, however, have limited historical information available.
If you have a personal connection to a memorial, know someone who does, or would like to share its history, we warmly invite you to contribute. Your stories, memories, and insights help ensure these tributes are remembered and appreciated for generations to come.
Please feel free to email us at [email protected] with any information, photos, or stories you would like to share.
