The Siouxland Expo Center (Seaboard Triumph Foods Expo Center) is part of a 25-acre redevelopment district. The newly constructed 103,000-square-foot facility primarily hosts parks and recreation indoor events as well as large expositions.

Originally planned as an agricultural expo building, the design initially included horse areas, stables, and exhibition spaces for rodeos. However, the City significantly altered the project scope, leading to a redesign that resulted in the current multi-use facility.

Situated on a uniquely shaped lot with adjacent railroad and utility easements, the facility required thoughtful planning. The design team worked closely with the City to balance functionality and aesthetics within site constraints. The building includes an office area with a reception space, event ticket booth, six offices, a break room, storage, and a large conference/meeting room.

Special attention was given to exterior finishes, considering the site’s high visibility along Interstate I-29. The roof material and color were carefully selected for durability and visual impact, with a long-lasting roof membrane chosen over metal for greater longevity. The combination of exterior materials and colors ensures the building complements the surrounding community.

The banquet room and adjacent outdoor patio provide an ideal setting for social gatherings and meetings. The space accommodates 240 guests at round tables or 190 with a dance floor setup.

The main expo hall, a clear-span metal structure, is large enough to host tractor shows or accommodate a regulation-size soccer and indoor football field. It can also be divided into 12 smaller soccer fields or configured for over 400 expo booths, making it a versatile venue for a wide range of events.
